A Tale of Two Shootings

Over the weekend it came to my attention that there may now be a federal investigation of Dr. Tiller’s murder by the Department of Justice because they believe that Scott Roeder, the killer, may not have acted alone.  Seriously, one crazy guy gets in his car and drives to Tiller’s church to finish him off and then leaves again doesn’t really sound like a conspiracy.  It sounds like just another day in America when someone goes off his rocker.

I guess if the Department of Justice wants to find others involved in the Tiller murder they would have to investigate the entire pro-life movement.  According to abortion advocates it is the pro-life community who is to blame for Roder’s actions.  When pro-lifers call abortion “murder” and show pictures of dismembered babies they are causing their advocates to go off the deep end and use violence.  Since when is the truth a crime?  Maybe if pro-lifers weren’t so peaceful the Department of Justice might not have time on their hands to look at this one case so thoroughly.

The biggest question here is why is shooting of  Tiller more of a threat than the shooting at a military recruitment center in Little Rock, Arkansas?  A Muslim convert gunned down one one soldier and wounded another because he wanted to kill as many as he could.  Have we not learned from the past that these people do not act alone?  Where else in our nation are military personnel in danger?  It seems to me that the people indoctrinated to hate Americans and to kill as many of us as they can are a lot more dangerous than one man taking it upon himself to exercise “an eye for an eye.”

It’s not the Justice department alone who is glossing over the shootings of the soldiers and highlighting Tiller’s murder.  The media did this as well along with our own President:

President Obama statement THREE DAYS after the soldiers’ shooting:

I am deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence against two brave young soldiers who were doing their part to strengthen our armed forces and keep our country safe. I would like to wish Quinton Ezeagwula a speedy recovery, and to offer my condolences and prayers to William Long’s family as they mourn the loss of their son.

President Obama’s statement ON THE DAY OF Dr. Tiller’s murder:

I am shocked and outraged by the murder of Dr. George Tiller as he attended church services this morning. However profound our differences as Americans over difficult issues such as abortion, they cannot be resolved by heinous acts of violence.
