Mike Huckabee’s Speech at CPAC 2009

It’s Huck PAC Party Time

Tonight is the first event for Team Huck as there will be 125+ house parties happening nation wide in order to kick off this conservative grassroots movement for limited government, tax reform, 2nd Amendment rights, life, and family.  The goal of the house parties is for volunteers to get to know each other and to recruit new members.  There will be a DVD of Governor Huckabee addressing the future of Team Huck and the conservative movement, and he will also discuss President Obama.  A Huckabee autographed guitar will go to the host who has the most guests at their party and everybody in attendance will receive a “Huck” bumper sticker and will have their name entered in to a drawing for a special prize.  For those who can’t make it to a house party there will be an online community at  These dedicated volunteers will be working hard across the country to promote conservative issues and candidates.

Team Huck and Huck PAC’s New Website

Mike Huckabee made an announcement that the Huck PAC National Volunteer Team will now be called Team Huck.  This will allow the volunteers to be recognized as the same force that stunned the nation during the 2008 presidential primaries and will signal that the movement is not over.  To volunteer for this massive conservative effort go to

Also, on April 1st Huck PAC will be launching a new web design that will center around Team Huck and give volunteers the tools they need to promote conservative issues and candidates around the country.

Rick Santelli Speaks for Me

Last week’s rant by CNBC’s Rick Santelli on the floor of the Chicago Board of Trade gave me a sense of relief that I was not alone in my “why should I pay for someone else’s screw-up” mentality.  I know that there are many people out there that have this same line of thinking.  You know, the people who work two jobs and follow a budget to make ends meet for their family.  The people who go in to buy a home with a specific price set on what they want to spend so that the bank cannot talk them in to spending more.  Those couples who have a double income but don’t blow it all because they realize that at any moment one of them could lose their job.  I know that if I just described your way of thinking or your way of life, you will enjoy this video as much as I did.

Huckabee on Obama’s “Change”

Mike Huckabee was one of the first Republicans who was willing to give Barack Obama a chance.  He campaigned vigorously for John McCain, but after the votes came in he pledged his respect to Obama  and called him “my President.”  Huckabee also pointed out that he would adamantly oppose Obama if he did things that he disagreed with.  It looks like that day has come.

Things have changed a lot since Inauguration Day and President Obama has turned this nation to a hard left.  The days of “hope” and “change” have been ushered in by fear and, ironically, more of the same.  Huckabee addressed this farce of a campaign promise in a recent article, and it seems like the days of giving President Obama a chance are over.

Mike Huckabee: Obama’s Performance ‘Cause for Alarm’

Former GOP presidential candidate Gov. Mike Huckabee in an exclusive Newsmax interview says President Obama’s early job performance is “cause for alarm,” and warns his penchant for talking down the economy is “the worst possible direction he could take.”

Obama’s dark portrayal of the U.S. economy — apparently intended to lower the high expectations stoked by his rhetoric during the campaign — is on the verge of becoming a “self-fulfilling prophecy,” Huckabee adds.

The former Arkansas governor’s criticism followed a week that saw the Dow Jones Industrial Average hit a six-year low. The S & P 500, the index that most trading professionals rely on……

Mike Huckabee on the Fair Tax

This video is two-years-old, but it is a timeless explanation from Huckabee on why he supports the Fair Tax.

Huck PAC’s Enthusiasm

Huck PAC has once again put the fundraising ticker back up on its website.  It was up at the end of January and helped smash that month’s fundraising goal.  This time the goal was to raise $18,232 in 48 hours in order to be able give Huck PAC a kick start for its National Volunteer Team which will sponsor its first event on February 26th.  This event will be house parties held simultaneously across America that night in order for volunteers to meet each other and to recruit new people.

The fundraising goal was met hours before the deadline and has now easily surpassed it.  The first donation was actually made 60 seconds after the request went out.  People seemed eager to donate that extra $13.00 they were going to get from the C.R.A.P. that their elected officials passed, and half of the money raised came from new donors.  In addition, the number of Huck PAC House Parties has climbed to 104 and they have shut off requests for new parties due to an overwhelming response.

12-Year-Old Speaks Out About Abortion

This post is self-explanatory.  Watch the video and then read the article.  An amazing story.

12-year-old steals day with pro-life speech
Teachers threaten disqualification, but girl chooses to speak against abortion

Despite facing threats of disqualification, a 12-year-old girl took first place in a speech contest when she eloquently argued for the rights of unborn children – after an offended judge quit.

“What if I told you that right now, someone was choosing if you were going to live or die?” the seventh-grader begins in a video recording of her speech on YouTube. “What if I told you that this choice wasn’t based on what you could or couldn’t do, what you’d done in the past or what you would do in the future? And what if I told you, you could do nothing about it?”

The girl, a student at a Toronto school identified only as “Lia,” continued:

“Fellow students and teachers, thousands of children are right now in that very situation. Someone is choosing……

Michael Steele and the Log Cabin Republicans

While I admire new RNC Chairman Michael Steele’s ability to communicate and his enthusiasm for turning the party around, I will keep a watchful eye on him.  He has made several references to moving the GOP more to the center and perhaps the biggest red flag is the Republican Leadership Council, a pro-abortion, centrist group he founded with Christine Todd Whitman.  Also, the Log Cabin Repblicans are “happy” with the selection of Steele in hopes that he will further their agenda, but the conservative community is pushing back.

AFTAH Gives RNC Chief Michael Steele 20,000 Reasons NOT to Embrace Divisive Homosexual ‘Log Cabin Republican’ Agenda

Americans For Truth (AFTAH) President Peter LaBarbera today urged Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele not to promote the divisive agenda of the homosexual activist group ‘Log Cabin Republicans’ – which has just 20,000 members nationwide — at the expense of the huge, grassroots pro-family conservative GOP base.

AFTAH is encouraging Republicans and pro-family citizens nationwide to contact Steele and the RNC to urge them not to sell out the conservative GOP platform by courting……

Huckabee Labels the Stimulus for What it is: C.R.A.P.

On his FOX News show two weeks ago, Mike Huckabee hit Congress hard by comparing the stimulus package to garbage.  On his show this past weekend he takes the subject a bit farther.  He pointed out that the bill does not have a name yet, so he proposed one; the Congressional Relief Action Program.  Also, Huckabee wants input on what viewers are going to do with their added $13 a week they will be receiving from this C.R.A.P.
