Tomorrow is an Anniversy Not Worth Celebrating

Tomorrow, January 22nd, is the 36th anniversary of the landmark United States Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision.  Since then 50 million abortions have been performed and if President Obama makes good on his promise and signs the Freedom of Choice Act, there will be 125,000 more abortions per year.  Every pro-life battle that has been won, such as parental involvement requirements, informed consent laws, restrictions on government funding of abortions, and outlawing most partial-birth abortions, would be erased and this bill would wipe the slate clean of any legal limits on abortion.

With all of these restrictions out of the way, the sky is the limit on how many more babies will be eliminated all in the name of “choice” or “right to privacy.”  Yesterday during his inaugural address, Obama stated that in our country everyone is “free and equal.”  If he really believes that, he will not sign FOCA and realize that every human life has worth and potential………

While Human LIfe International predicts that Obama’s reign will be the “most anti-life presidency” ever in the history of America, I guess they forgot the thousands of innocents killed by George. Or the 50 thousand Iraqi refugee women who have been forced into prostitution. I don’t think anyone celebrates abortion. But those who wish to celebrate National Sanctity of Life Day may find some refreshing suggestions on how to do so on my blog.

I agree with you 100% that being pro-life also means caring for life once it is outside of the womb. Being pro-life, I don’t want to hunt down women and throw them in jail. All I want is for us to give EVERYBODY the fundamental rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. What kind of society are we if we do not guarantee those rights to everyone?

The lives lost during war are not a result of an intentional act just to eliminate a life. It is about preserving as much life as possible while also doing what it takes to protect the lives of countless others, but abortion is a choice that is meant to end a life, period.

This is by far the greatest mistake our government has ever made, more then any war or economic bailout; this I believe began the decline of the American family.
What is interesting is the lady that was involved in this case has made a commercial AGAINST this case; have you seen this?

I have a whole blog post on this very subject:

I, like you will not be celebrating tomorrow; I will be praying.
